You know how you decide you’re going to do something about losing some weight and you get started (struggle immensely for a bit) and you start to drop a few kilos and are starting to feel fab but still have a ways to go and you are absolutely not going to purchase yourself any new items of clothing until you have reached your weight loss goal?
So, you plod along, wearing your old maternity jeans and tops, or the trackies that you purchased when you started this I’m Going To Be Healthy gig that are now swimming on you (even though you still have a bit to go) and you’re not feeling all that hot – in the “I’m sexy” sense, not the “I’ve managed to jog 5k today and am sweating like a pig” sense.
You know that scenario?
One of my favouritest and most knowledgeable of image consultants and a very good friend of mine, Imogen Lamport, along with another fabulous chick, Jill Chivers have collaborated and written an e-book, entitled Svelte In Style
It is, essentially, a fabulous guide on how to look and feel great whilst you are on your weight loss journey, because sometimes just feeling great about yourself can keep you motivated and on track. Both Imogen and Jill have worked with LOADS of women who have embarked on weight loss journeys but have flat our refused to invest in themselves and how they feel until they have hit their goal.
So, they created some ideas and inspirations, strategies and secrets, because looking good whilst losing weight and feeling good whilst loosing weight are two sides of the same coin. It is an endless feedback loop; where when you feel great (as exercise and eating well will do for you) will cause an increased interest in how you look, and when you look great, you feel great and your mood and self-esteem experience a boost.
Whilst this is not a How To Lose Weight book, there are two additional sections in the book; one on how to eat healthily whilst losing weight, written by the incredible Annette Sym, Australia’s number 1 low fat cooking expert, award winning business woman and international motivational experience.
I have met Annette and have watched her journey. She is amazing!
The second inclusion is about exercising healthily whilst losing weight, written by an ex-personal trainer (who specialised in fat loss and obesity), entrepreneur, published author, speaker, and now mum to three boys who knows just how difficult it can be to work regular exercise into your daily life, Amanda Cox.
Oh, wait, that would be me.
This book is officially launched today and Real Mums has a very, very special offer for you – because we’re all nice like that 🙂
